Is this really a smart idea?
Xiaomi just launched the Redmi Note 15 series in Europe, and they also introduced some new smart wearables - the Redmi Buds 8 Lite wireless earbuds and the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses.
But what's so special about these glasses?
They look like regular glasses, but they have dual speakers and quad microphones, which means you can use them like wireless earbuds with some extra smart features.
They have touch-sensitive areas on the temples that let you control playback, volume, and even access your voice assistant.
But is it safe to use them in public? They also have real-time recording for calls and meetings, and wind noise reduction.
- They come in three designs: Brownline, Pilot-Style, and Titanium
- They have IP54 ingress protection
- They pair over Bluetooth 5.4 and support dual-device connectivity
And what about the Redmi Buds 8 Lite?
They have 12.4mm titanium-diaphragm drivers, Bluetooth 5.4, and support for AAC and SBC audio codecs.
They also have hybrid active noise cancellation, which is rated at up to 42dB noise canceling.
- They have 8 hours of continuous playback
- They have a custom EQ mode for fine-tuning
- They are available in Black, White, and Blue colors
Is this really the future of smart wearables?
