Overview

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event is scheduled for February 25. Leaks have confirmed that the lineup will consist of three models – the standard Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra (covered separately). This article focuses on the S26 and S26+.

Design & Dimensions

Only one set of renders was released for the S26 and S26+ because the only physical difference is size. The unofficial measurements are:

  • Galaxy S26: 6.3‑inch screen, slightly taller and wider chassis, lighter weight than the previous generation while retaining the same thickness.
  • Galaxy S26+: 6.7‑inch screen, dimensions match the S26+ of the prior generation to the first decimal place.

Display

The vanilla S26 receives a modest screen bump to 6.3 inches. The S26+ keeps the same 6.7‑inch panel as its predecessor but is expected to feature a new protective glass.

Battery & Charging

  • Both models gain a larger battery (+300 mAh compared to the previous generation).
  • Potential 45 W fast‑charging for the S26 to match the S26+.
  • The S26 Ultra is rumored to support up to 60 W charging.

Performance

Leaked benchmarks show the S26+ (and S26 Ultra) running on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Regional variations may still see an Exynos 2600 processor in certain markets.

Storage

The base storage for the vanilla S26 is finally upgraded to 256 GB, a notable increase over earlier models.

Colors

While the renders display a black finish, Samsung is expected to offer three additional color options for both the S26 and S26+: white, violet, and blue.

Connectivity & Extras

  • All S26 models will support magnetic Qi2 wireless charging.
  • Satellite communication capability is included across the lineup.
  • The vanilla S26 will re‑introduce Ultra‑Wideband (UWB) for improved tag tracking.

Conclusion

The leaked details suggest Samsung is refining its flagship formula with incremental upgrades in size, battery, charging, and connectivity while finally adding higher base storage and UWB to the standard model. The full picture will become clearer once the official announcement arrives on February 25.
