Overview

Redmi has introduced the Turbo 5 alongside the larger Turbo 5 Max in China. The Turbo 5 is the world’s first smartphone to ship with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500‑Ultra chipset.

Design and Build

The handset features a metal frame with a glass back, mirroring the Max model. It is available in Auspicious Cloud White, Light Sea Green, and Shadow Black, measures 8.18 mm thick and weighs 204 g.

Display

The 6.59‑inch AMOLED panel offers a 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 3,500 nits peak brightness, 12‑bit colour depth and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Performance

Powered by the Dimensity 8500‑Ultra SoC, the phone comes with LPDDR5 Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Configurations include 12 GB/256 GB, 12 GB/512 GB, 16 GB/256 GB and 16 GB/512 GB.

Battery and Charging

A massive 7,560 mAh battery fuels the device. It supports 100 W wired fast charging and 27 W reverse wired charging.

Camera System

Rear cameras consist of a 50 MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor paired with an 8 MP ultra‑wide lens. The front houses a 20 MP selfie shooter.
