Seamless Transfer to Android
The iOS 26.3 beta adds a built‑in Transfer to Android tool located in Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Transfer to Android. By placing an iPhone next to an Android device, users can wirelessly move photos, messages, notes, apps, and even their phone number.
- Photos and videos
- Messages and iMessage threads
- Notes and reminders
- Supported apps and app data
- Phone number porting
EU‑Driven Features
To comply with the EU Digital Markets Act, iOS 26.3 introduces two notable changes for European users.
- Notification Forwarding – forward iPhone notifications to other devices.
- AirPods‑like proximity pairing for third‑party earbuds and smartwatches.
Privacy Enhancements
A new “Limit Precise Location” setting reduces the granularity of location data shared with mobile networks, giving users tighter control over their privacy.
New Visual Customizations
iOS 26.3 adds a dedicated Weather wallpaper section with three preset options. Access it by long‑pressing the Lock Screen, then tapping the plus sign in the bottom‑right corner.
Future Siri & AI Roadmap
Apple’s partnership with Google Gemini will power a more personalized Siri, slated for iOS 26.4 and fully realized in iOS 27 with a ChatGPT‑like chatbot experience. The upcoming Siri will understand personal context, on‑screen content, and provide deeper per‑app controls.
