Design Evolution

The original Pura X broke the mold in 2025 with its unconventional wide‑screen foldable design. The upcoming Pura X2 builds on that DNA, aiming to refine both aesthetics and usability.

Display Improvements

Two major screen upgrades are expected:

  • Cover display: A significantly larger cover screen replaces the cramped panel of the first generation, making it easier to glance at notifications or reply to messages without unfolding.
  • Inner display: The main folding panel grows from 6.3 inches to roughly 7.5 inches while retaining the 16:10 aspect ratio, positioning the Pura X2 among the widest vertical foldables on the market.

Camera and Back Design

Unlike the previous model, the camera module will occupy its own dedicated space on the back, no longer sharing area with the outer display. This should improve ergonomics and reduce accidental touches.

Performance and Chipset Options

Under the hood, Huawei plans to launch the Pura X2 with two chipset variants:

  • Kirin 9030 series: The flagship option delivering higher efficiency and AI capabilities.
  • Kirin 9020: A carry‑over from the original Pura X for a more budget‑friendly configuration.

What to Expect Next

The leak originates from a Weibo tipster and aligns with previous Huawei patterns of teasing specs weeks before an official reveal. Keep an eye on upcoming announcements for confirmation of the design and pricing details.
