Why Check Your Purchase History?
Your Apple Account purchase history records every app, game, movie, music track, and subscription bought with your Apple ID across all your devices. Reviewing it helps you track spending, verify family purchases, manage subscriptions, and dispute any unauthorized charges.
Quick Access via the App Store (iOS 17.4 / iPadOS 17.4)
Apple streamlined the process in iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4. Follow these steps:
- Open the App Store app.
- Tap your profile picture in the top‑right corner.
- Select Purchase History.
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
The list that appears shows every purchase tied to your Apple ID, regardless of the device used.
Alternative Method Through Settings
If you’re on an earlier iOS version or prefer Settings, use this route:
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top to open Apple ID settings.
- Choose Media & Purchases, then tap View Account.
- Select Purchase History and sign in if prompted.
Using Search and Filters
At the top of the purchase list you’ll find a search field. You can enter an app name, price, or order ID to locate a specific transaction. Tap the blue “Showing:” text to reveal filter options, allowing you to narrow results by:
- Date range (e.g., last 30 days, custom dates)
- Price range
- Purchase type (apps, movies, subscriptions, etc.)
Managing Subscriptions and Refunds
From the same Apple ID screen you can tap Subscriptions to see active and expired services. If you spot an unauthorized purchase, select the item, then choose “Report a Problem” to request a refund or dispute the charge.
Tips & Common Issues
• Make sure you’re signed in with the correct Apple ID – the history only reflects the account you’re logged into.
• If a purchase isn’t showing, it may be linked to a family organizer’s account.
• Refresh the list by pulling down on the screen; sometimes recent transactions need a moment to sync.
