What Is “Results About You”?
Google’s “Results about you” feature lets you request the removal of personal information that appears in search results. While the data stays on the web, the tool helps keep it out of Google’s index.
How to Access the Tool
You can open the interface in two ways:
- Visit goo.gle/resultsaboutyou
- In the Google app, tap your profile image and select “Results about you.”
Submitting a Removal Request
1. Add the information you want removed in the search bar.
2. Google scans for matching results and notifies you when it finds them.
3. Click “Request to remove” for each result you wish to delete.
Removing Non‑Consensual Explicit Images
Google now offers a shortcut for explicit images:
- Open Google Images.
- Tap the three‑dot overflow menu on the image.
- Select “Remove result” → “It shows a sexual image of me.”
Tracking Your Requests
All your removal requests are listed in one place within the “Results about you” dashboard, and you’ll receive email notifications about each request’s status.
Availability
The feature is currently rolling out in the United States, with plans to expand to additional regions in the future.
