What's Really New in Google Gemini Live?
Can Google Gemini Live really deliver with its new overlay and floating action button (FAB)? The updated interface is slowly rolling out to some users, but what does it really mean for users?
Minor Visual Changes, Same Functionality
The new overlay and FAB may look a bit different, but they work the same way as before. The overlay offers an 'X' button to end the session, and a button to mute/unmute the microphone or switch to video or screen sharing.
What's Missing?
Notably, there's no Pause button in the new overlay. Does this mean Google is still fine-tuning the interface? Will we see more changes in the future? Only time will tell.
Convenience or Just a Gimmick?
The new FAB and overlay allow users to access essential controls without reaching for the notification shade. But is this really a game-changer, or just a minor update? We're not convinced yet.
