Introduction to Galaxy S26 Series
I just got my hands on the latest news about the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Samsung is planning to launch the series in late February. If you have been following the leaks, you might know that there are not many exciting changes, especially for the non-Ultra models.
Galaxy S26 Plus - What's New?
The Galaxy S26 Plus has the fewest upgrades in specifications. You might not be able to tell it apart from the Galaxy S25 Plus just by looking at it. The phone will have the same 6.66-inch screen as the S25 Plus.
Samsung thought about using a more advanced OLED display, but they decided to use the same one as the Galaxy S25 Plus. There might be some upgrades to the different layers of the OLED panel.
Why Not Many Changes?
Samsung did not have enough time to make big changes to the Galaxy S26 Plus. They had planned to launch a smaller range of phones, but they changed their mind in October.
So, Samsung did not have time to change the design of the Galaxy S26 Plus. They just updated the phone with a new processor - the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Galaxy S26 Ultra - What to Expect
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will have some big changes. One of the upgrades is the new Samsung M14 OLED panel. This panel uses less power and has hardware-based privacy features.
Samsung plans to make nearly 3.6 million units of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This is many more than the units planned for the base and Plus variants.
