Azahar Emulator Update: What's New?
The Azahar emulator has received a major update, bringing with it a slew of new features and improvements. One of the most significant changes is the reduction in input latency, achieved by disabling Vsync by default and instead utilizing Android's frame pacing feature.
ROM Compression and Decompression: The update also introduces ROM compression and decompression, which can reduce 3DS game file sizes by 30-45%. This feature is only available for decrypted ROMs.
Other notable features imported from the desktop build include background color, second screen opacity, and audio emulation settings. Additionally, a new toggle allows users to hide Azahar's 3DS image files from Android photo galleries.
System Requirements and Availability
The minimum supported version of Android has been bumped to Android 10, meaning those still using Android 9 will need to stick to older versions. The latest version is available for download, including a Google Play version.
