Button Layout

According to tipster Instant Digital, the iPhone Fold will place its volume buttons on the top‑right edge, mirroring the iPad mini’s arrangement. This decision is linked to the motherboard being situated on the right side, avoiding cable routing across the left edge.

The power button, which integrates Touch ID, and the Camera Control button will also sit on the right edge, while the left side will be completely free of physical buttons.

Camera Configuration

The front of the device is expected to house a single punch‑hole camera for selfies and video calls.

On the rear, a dual‑camera module will sit on an iPhone Air‑style plateau, accompanied by an LED flash and a microphone. The camera module is rumored to be finished entirely in black, creating a contrast with the body.

Color Options and Finish

Apple is said to offer the iPhone Fold in two colors, one of which will be white. The black rear camera module will stand out against whichever color is chosen.

Potential Launch Timeline

Leaks suggest the iPhone Fold could debut in September 2024, aligning with Apple’s typical fall release schedule.
