New interactive apps for Claude
Anthropic announced that Claude can now run interactive apps inside the chat interface. The feature targets enterprise users and focuses on common workplace services.
Supported tools
- Slack – send messages from Claude
- Canva – create visual content
- Figma – generate design assets
- Box – access cloud files
- Clay – work with data tables
- Salesforce – integration expected soon
Technical background
The apps use the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard Anthropic released in 2024. MCP added app support in November, building on earlier work by both Anthropic and OpenAI.
