Why Trust This Review

TechRadar spends hours testing every product we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Our methodology includes real‑world usage, multiple source testing and a thorough feature analysis.

Design & Build Quality

The Aerofit 2 Pro uses a flexible loop that lets you switch between open‑air and sealed ANC modes. While the concept is clever, the loop material feels flimsy and the buds wobble in the ear, especially in ANC mode. The touch buttons are harder to press when ANC is active, though they become easy to use in open mode.

Sound Performance

The earbuds are tuned for a treble‑forward sound signature. Bass is modest, which makes them a good choice for lyrics, spoken word and guitar solos. When you dive into the Soundcore app and tweak the EQ, the audio can become surprisingly detailed for a fitness‑focused pair.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

ANC works, but it isn’t competitive with dedicated noise‑cancelling earbuds. In noisy environments the reduction is modest, and the feature drains the battery quickly.

Battery Life & Charging

Battery life is average: around 5 hours of playback with ANC on and up to 7 hours in open mode. The case supports wireless charging, a rarity among sports earbuds.

Connectivity

Pairing is fast and generally stable, but we experienced occasional stuttering and occasional drops during intensive testing.

Soundcore App Features

  • Customizable touch controls
  • Low‑latency mode for gaming and video
  • Spatial Audio support
  • Manual ANC toggle
  • Graphic equalizer

Pros

  • Unique 2‑in‑1 open/closed design
  • Wireless charging case
  • Good treble clarity and customizable EQ
  • Low‑latency mode for media sync

Cons

  • Flimsy loop material and wobbling fit
  • Touch controls hard to press in ANC mode
  • ANC performance is mediocre
  • Battery life is only average for the segment

Alternatives

If you want a more balanced sound and stronger ANC, consider the Shokz open earbuds, which offer a stable fit and solid feature set at a comparable price. For a budget‑friendly option, the Huawei FreeArc provides excellent sound and a compact case for about half the price.

Verdict

The Anker Soundcore Aerofit 2 Pro is an innovative choice for athletes who value the ability to switch between open‑air listening and noise‑cancelling isolation. However, the execution falls short in build quality, ANC effectiveness, and battery endurance. If the dual‑mode concept appeals to you and you don’t need top‑tier noise cancellation, they’re worth a try; otherwise, there are better‑performing options at similar or lower price points.
